I don't know if this is the Zoe Hamelin you're looking for. I Have two, and can't link them. The time frame is wrong for one, but this one fits -- although I have this Zoe marrying another four years after your Zoe married Francois Bourassa in 1849; so, who knows?
"My" Zoe Hamelin was born "after 1830" at St-Philippe-de-Laprairie, QC (not Masson, which isn't far), the daughter of Louis-Rene Hamelin and Josette Roi-LaPenson. I have her marrying Barthelemy Martineau on November 20, 1853, at St-Philippe. Nothing more.
Her father Louis-Rene was the son of Rene Hamelin Jr.(February 21, 1776) and Marie-Louise dit Versailles Vachereau -- making him the brother of Francois-Xavier (1817), one of the 12 "patriotes" hanged outside the Montreal jail after the abortive rebellion of 1838.
Her grandfather Rene Jr.(1776) was the son of Rene Hamelin (1733) and Marie-Therese Marguerite Riel.
