Thanks for this info, John.

Do you think that there were possibly two women named "Zoé Hamelin"?

'My' Zoé (born Sept. 1830) married François Bourassa in 1849. I am trying to discover the names of her siblings and her parents.

'Your' Zoé, daughter of Louis-René Hamelin and Josette Roi-LaPenson, married Barthélémy Martineau on November 20, 1853 at St.Philippe-de-LaPrairie. Her brother, Maxime, your ancestor married Melina Robert.

I've posted a question on the Martineau Family Forum to try to find out more information about your Zoé, and will let you know if I find out anything....

In the meantime, I am really enjoying reading about the "Hamelins of the Grondines" written and contributed by Joseph Hamelin - fascinating!
