message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
From familysearch, I've also found more information about your Maxime (which you may already know). He was born ~1836 in St. Jerome, Quebec. At the time of the Canada Census 1881, he was 45 years old, married, and his occupation was 'journalier'. The census area was Gatineau,Ottawa,Quebec Canada. Interestingly, my great great grandmother Zoe Bourassa (nee Hamelin) lived on a farm in that area. Maxime died on 01 Nov 1906 at the age of 70 in the Carleton & Ottawa area, Ontario.
Maxime's wife, Melina Robert, was born in 1845 in Bas Canada, under the name of Melinie Robert. At the time of the Quebec Census of 1861, she was 16 years of age (census location: St-Philippe, LaPrairie)
By the time of the Canada Census 1881, she was 36 years old and married to Maxime Hamelin.
