I have your Marie Cecelia Hamelin (married to Pierre Paul) in my genealogy also. I have her as Cecelia, born about 1833 (probably in St Paul) and marrying Pierre Paul 10/25/1852 in Little Canada (borders on St Paul). Her parents were Louis Hamelin and Cecile Beaupre.

One record I found stated:

Genealogy of the First Metis Nation - Genealogies of Red River
Households 1818-1870

ID 2115

Louis Hamelin Metis, roman Catholic born NW Territory (British North
America west of Lake Superior

wife Cicile Bruyere, Metis born 1814

One record states Louis was born 1809, the 1850 Minnesota census says he was 49.

Cecile died before 1852 (according to church records I have viewed)

Cecile was #2 in a family of 7:
Ididore (born 1832 in St Paul)--my wife's relation
Cecile
Louis about 1836 in St Paul
Gustave 1837 St Paul
Victorie 1840 St Paul
Irasine 1843
