Your HAMMAN family must be related to my HAMMANN family, which also comes from Lachen.

I have a George HAMMANN, b. 11 May 1812 in Lachen, d. 18 Apr. 1879 in Pike Co., OH. He married (14 Jun. 1835) Helen SCHMIDT, b. 31 Mar. 1810 in Lacen, d. 09 Jan. 1894 in Pike Co., OH.

He was the son of Peter HAMMANN, b. 26 Dec. 1781 in Lachen, d. Sep. 1834 in Pike Co., OH. He married (28 Oct., 1806) Eleonore FREITAG, b. 29 Dec. 1787 in Lachen, d. 1869 in Pike Co., OH.

Do you have any connections to this family? I have more information, too.
