Caperton is not a name usually used unless there is a connection in some respect to a person by that name. There were Capertons in Jackson Co. AL and I know there were Hammans there also. Some of both of those families came to Texas. Do you know the source of Hugh's middle name?

Did he ever come to Texas?

Do you know what religion his family was???
