My Grandfather, Roy C. Hamman, came from Bement Illinois. He died in, I think, late 1993 or 1994. My grandmother, Mildred Hamman (I her maiden name was Maston I believe), is still surviving (aged 93 or 94) and still owns the family farm in Bement with my father John Milroy Hamman.

My great grandfather was John Wesleyan Hamman, and I assume that we're talking about the same Hammans here.

This is the first time I've ever visited a geneology site or taken any interest in it. I know that my grandmother traced her and my grandfather's lineage back as far as Germany, but don't have the information with me at the moment (I live in England now and all the records are back in Illinois).
