James: I do not have data on Hammans who settled in IN. A number of Hammans & early descendants who first settled Pike Co., OH, removed to IL & Strawn, Coffey Co., KS. A George Hamman (b.25 Feb 1838, Pike Co.; d. 28 May 1889, Coffey Co.) m. 5 Jan 1860, Pike Co., to Elizabeth Hummell. Three of his bro. also settled at Coffey Co. Conrad (b. 19 Dec 1839, Pike Co. & d. 6 Jan 1929, Coffey Co.) m. 31 Jan 1867, Pike Co., to Mary Hoover; Franz, (b. 8 Oct 1841, Pike Co. & d. 25 Nov 1878, Coffey Co.) m. Lena Bohn; and, Philip, b. 24 Oct 1845, Pike Co. & d. 13 Feb 1933, Hartford, Coffey Co.) m. 18 Nov 1875 to Lydia Margaret Lane. - Hope you find this useful. - Bob
