John Hamman - 1724 Land Patent in VA
Posted by: Don Blankenship Date: July 27, 2001 at 01:33:22
  of 375

On 9 July 1724 John Hamman purchased land in Henrico County, Virginia located on the upper James River just north of present day Petersburg and about 15 miles south of Richmond. He was one of the early pioneers of colonial Virginia. You can find the deed for his property and many of his neighbors posted at my web site http://www.blankenships.org. Choose the selection for “Land Deeds” and “Land Patents” in Henrico Co. Virginia. There are three separate web pages dedicated to Henrico County land patents and hundreds of records. Some land patents have the precise geographic coordinates stated in 1/1,000ths of a degree. A map of some of these coordinates can be accessed from this same web site.

Use your web browser SEARCH & FIND feature when looking up these individuals. Click on EDIT, FIND and enter the surname of interest.
