Georg Christoph Hammann was a son of Georg Hammann and wife Maria of Lachen. Georg was buried at Lachen, 14 Apr. 1676. Maria died 11 Nov. 1670. Georg Christoph married Anna Catherina Schmidt, daughter of Hans Jacob Schmidt, 9 Feb. 1689 (there is no need for date conversion with German dates-the Gregorian calendar was used there long before 1752, when the British finally adopted it).
The church records of Lachen begin with 1663 so it is not possible to go back any further.
