I know of one Jacob Hamman, who in the early 1800's lived in Allegheny Co., MD, but went to church in Somerset Co., PA, just across the line. He would have been born about 1770, give or take and owned land in Maryland, near Cumberland, with Henry (Heinrich) Hamman,my ancestor. Henry also went to church in Somerset Co., PA. Henry moved to Knox Co., Ohio and I lost Jacob. Their father, or a least Henry's for sre, was Johan Philip Hamman. The family was from eastern PA in the 1770's.
