Do you have any children listed for Johann Hamman? We have found so many variant spellings for our last name (spelled Hammans)that just about any variation is possible. We have reason to believe that our early ancestors may have come from Germany rather than England as originally believed and we do know that they settled in VA, particularly in the Wythe Co. area. Please advise. Many thanks.
