HI Brian! My name is Beth Hamman-Medina. My hammans hail from Dayton, Ohio. My father is William Hamman, my grandfather is Linus Hamman and his father is Anthony Hamman. I also have a brother named Brian! I began trying to piece together information about a year ago. I got as far back as Michael Hamman born Oct. 1, 1817 in the Alsace-Lorriane region of France(though much disputed w/ Germany)and died April 4, 1890 in Mercer County, Ohio. HIs son was a Jacob Hamman born September 21, 1844 and died around 1930. He was a civil war vet and was married to Susanna Weaver. Anyway, this is what I have so far, but if you have any further information I would appreciate it. Also, I would like information on the Y-chromosome study. Maybe I could get my Dad or brother to participate. Thanks so much!
