Hi, Brian -- I am trying to figure out his ancestry. I am a little more comfortable with the Schlesvig connection that I am with the Arhus birthplace. Many years ago, the Dansk Genealogical Institut furnished the following names as possible relatives of Andrew:

Birgette (Bridgette) Christine Haman(n) Soderberg died 10/1812 Aarlau;

Gustav Frederik (Frederick) Haman(n) b. 1/2/1838 a captain in the 1864 war between Denmark and Prussia.

Cousal General _____ Hamann, died 5/18/1870 Bredo (Bredi)

Peter Heinrich Christian Haman(n) died 12/1871 @ 61 years old

Vilhelmine Eliabeth Haman (Hermann) died 9/1887(67) Helleburg (Hellburg)

I do not know whether any of these people are the Hammans we're looking for since I have been unable to establish a connection. I would appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks.
