Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My ggrandfather Peter Hammes could conceivably be a son of your Peter, although I have no evidence of this. My Peter is supposedly a son of a German immigrant who came to Cincinnati and became a tailor. I don't know if these family stories are true. I don't know the name of the immigrant. My Peter lived most of his adult life in Wayne, West Virginia. Do you have any evidence that might make a connection here?
