Dear Karen: Elizabeth Hammes is my maternal grandmother. My mother was Clara Marie Winandy Nelson. After Eugene Becker died, Elizabeth married Nicholas Winandy and the two wound up in Sykeston N.D. My mother was one of four children in this latter marriage. Do you know where Elizabeth and her father William came from in Europe(my greatgrandfather)? Mary Becker would have been my half aunt.
