I have a wonderful photo of Ernest William Hamnett in his Canadian Army Uniform, as he fought in WW1. The photo has written on the front #285001 Sgt. E. W. Hamnett. 19th [something] looks like "Gor".
I checked his records on the net on the Canadian Military Site and found he was born in Nottingham Eng, 26/05/1880, Mother: Annie Hamnett in Cossall, Nottingham, Eng. he was a builder and contractor. Height: 5' 9" Eyes: brown, Hair: dark brown, Church of Eng
He lived at 372 Lippincott St., Toronto when he signed up for the Army.
I don't know if I am related but I would be willing to share this photo with anyone who wishes a copy.
