Handren/Hanrahan
Hi!!I had been searching for history on a John/Henry/ William Handren/Hanrahan.. I have now found that they WERE brothers... Here is what I do know now.. and looking for anyone that may have more to share...
? Hanrahan married Elisabeth and had 5 boys, William (b-1781, had 10 children), Thomas (b-?, had 2 children), James (b-? was on the Kings Cutter), John (b-1790, had 6 children), Henry (b-1792, had 8 kids with 2 different wives-married 3 times)Supposedly they were originally from England/Scotland.. ? Hanrahan had been studying tobecome a priest and met and fell in love with a Prodestedent woman, moved to Nova Scotia and became a Dr... where the Catholics supposedly had been watching him and murdered him for deserting their faith.Elisabeth remarried a John Stevens and had 2 more children George and Mary...They remained in the Quaco area...word was that 3 stayed in Canada being Loyalists and 2 went to the states.
William I know moved to Massachusetts, he shows up on a marriage cert in 1809.. Henry and John stayed in St John..James I heard was on a Kings Cutter ship... nothing on Thomas or the step siblings..
Alot of information came off old letters we recently found from 1827 from John Stevens to William in the states... we also have letters from Henry Sr's boys to each other which gave information on some people as well.would love to share.. hopefully someone will have more they can add???
