With respect to such central European e.g. Hesse Darmstadt surnames, those with a 'pair ' of ending suffixes i.e. 'erer' or Hangerer:
The last 'er' is generally (or always) a title or term for responsibility: -ER, may stand for 'Herr" orin reality "Mister" [Mr>]. So that Hangerer is Herr Hanger or Mayor Hanger; or Mr. {Mister} Hanger.Then if the ending suffix is ...erin ,,, or ...erim.It equates to "Mrs. probably forerin;or Miss for --erim..
