Hello Bob,

Have you heard that Margaret creek in Athens co. was named after Mary Magdalene because she was the first white woman/female to set foot off the flat boat upon her families arrival to the area. I've been able to locate copies of land allotments by the Ohio Company in Marietta, Ohio taht states both Matthew Haning Sr. And Jr. (written as Henning). They were each granted land on a trace known as Bear Creek.
