Some of the Scottish "Dumfries" Hannings settled in New Zealand in the 1860's/1870's.
Their descendants are well established families in NZ with a good sense of their history. I am not of that line, my ancestors having come from Cloyne in Co. Cork, Ireland in 1861, but I am familiar with the various family lines out here.
