I am trying to research Catherine Anne Hanning, originally from Scotland (possibly a neice of Thomas Carlyle on her mother's side). She emmigrated to Canada and I have found records of her having been a school teacher in Nova Scotia about 1864/65. Does this fit in with your people? Jody (email address)
