I am trying to place a Catherine Anne Hanning.A schoolteacher, originally from Scotland. She was married to a George Franklin in Canada. She is somehow related to Thomas Carlyle and the only clues that I have are records of Janet Carlyle born 1813 married Robert Hanning and they moved to Canada mid 1800s with their children and grandchildren. I do have a Catherine Anne Hanning as a schoolteacher in Nova Scotia 1864-65. Is any of this familiar to you?
