Pat,

Sorry, I got carried away in my last email to you. I live in Plymouth, Michigan, which is in the northwest corner of Wayne county, about 10 miles east of Ann Arbor and 30 miles west of Detroit. I was born and bred in Cleveland, Ohio. My parents are buried there, and I have two brothers, Tom and Jerry, and sister, Eileen. Two other brothers, Jim and Bill, are deceased.

My maternal great grandfather was John Hanratty, born around 1855 in Crossmaglen, Ireland, emigrated to Gateshead-upon-Tyne, England, and lived to be about 95 years old. He's buried in East Cemetery there. I'm trying to connect Alice Hanratty with him as she too was born in Crossmaglen and emigrated to Gateshead before going to San Francisco in 1907 at age 25.

My mother, Helena, was a Hanratty, and born in Gateshead before she married my father, felix Hanratty, of Crossmaglen. They were second cousins. My paternal grandfather, James Hanratty, was John's brother(my gg father).

My question right now is where does Edward Hanratty fit in with you since John was your grandfather, not your gg father. Where is he buried?

I'm still going to get you some addresses before you leave. You're going to break down and cry when they welcome you back to Ireland. Slainte!

Jack
