I have a bit of info on John O. Hanratty. Parents were Francis Hanratty b. ca. 1820 Ireland and Mary Murrey b. ca. 1827 Ireland. John had two sisters Elizabeth b. 1865 b. Sombra, Ont. m. Myles Dillon and sister Catherine b. 1855 at Kingston, Ont. m. Michael Kilbride. He may also have had a brother Bernard b. 1856 and a sister Bridget b. 1858. They were residing in Sombra, Lambton Co, Ont. when mother Mary died in 1865. Francis is listed in a directory dated 1866-1867 at Baby's Point. A post village situated on the River St. Clair Township of Sombra 24 miles from Sarnia twenty-seven from Chatham and 48 from Detroit. The village was settled by James Baby Sr., in 1826. Mary is buried in Corunna Ontario at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery. John was living with the Peter Murphy Family in the 1871 Sombra Lambton Co. census. Believe Peter's wife Ann was sister to John's mother Mary.
