I may have knowledge of the father of Peter Hanratty (1853) named Peter. My great grandfather was Peter Hanratty (1838-1916). Point of origin unknown. He had at least one son named Francis (1872-1919), possibly the younger brother of your Peter(1853). Francis lived for a while in Rochester NY, where he married Elizabeth Long, who gave birth to Francis, Agnes(my mother) and James. At some point he deserted the family and died in Detroit,Mi. I would appreciate any more information you could add to this lineage. Thank you.
