HANRATTYS

DOING OUR FAMILY TREE WE CAME ACROSS SOME NAMES OF HANRATTY MEN. THEY WERE ON THE 1881 CENSUS AS LIVING IN CO. DURHAM, BUT NOTHING WAS FOUND ON THE 1871 CENSUS, SO WE PRESUME THAT THEY CAME TO CO. DURHAM FROM ELSEWHERE. THEIR NAMES WERE FELIX HANRATTY BC 1847-ARMAGH
JOHN HANRATTY BC 1851-IRELAND
HUGH HANRATTY BC 1853
OWEN HANRATTY BC 1852
OWEN HANRATTY BC 1832
PETER HANRATTY BC 1849
PETER HANRATTY WAS IN CO. DURHAM IN JUNE 1873 WHEN HE MARRIED AGNES LAFFERTY IN GATESHEAD. ON THE MARRAIGE CERT' IT STATED THAT HIS FATHER(ALSO PETER), WAS A FARMER. HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH THE LIBRARY IN DUBLIN WHO TOLD US THAT HANRATTYS WERE FROM ARMAGH-LOUTH-MONAGHAN. I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR ANY INFORMATION ANYONE CAN GIVE ME.
