That is very interesting and somewhat of a puzzle. I have only been aware of the one Hansberry family in Franklin Co. IA. They are Thomas, the father who was also born in Pennsylvania and Ellen McDonald the mother. One of their children was born in Ohio and the other six in Indiana. That is according to the 1856 Iowa Census. This family apparently moved to Franklin County, Nebraska sometime before 1880. Franklin County, Nebraska being only about 5 counties west of Pawnee Co. Do you have any additional information on Joseph in Franklin Co., IA? Was this information found in an Iowa Census? Looks like I have some more digging to do. Thanks for your information and help.
