Hi Marianne,
My Aaron Hanselman was born in 1809 Pennsylvania according to sources on some genealogy sites and the Federal Census' that I have found. I have not yet done any in depth search into Pennsylvania to find any other records yet.
I believe that the Sarah Hanselman who is in the obit on the Steuben Co. site is the wife of one of Aaron's sons, Daniel Reed Hanselman. I have an 1880 Federal Census of their family in Steuben Co.
There may indeed by a connection between our families since my Aaron was also married in Columbiana, OH, 1834.
There is one source on the LDS site that states the Aaron's parents were George Hanselman and Margaret, but there is no source information available for that entry so I have not been able to follow up on that.
I will let you know if I do find anything further.
