Karen: I am just beginning my research into family history.

My great great grand mother was Phoebe Hanway, Castner Hanway was her brother, according to Ruth Anna Gray, my great grandmother.

Much about Phoebe Hanway's son, Issac Wasington Gray remains a mystery. Where he was born and lived before he married and settled in Avondale, PA.

He enlisted as a private 12/24/1864 in the Civil War and died 4/20/1888 in Avondale after surviving the horrors of Andersonville prison.

The Hanway/Gray's sound like interesting people. I would be interested in learning more about the family history.
