Hardage / Hall, Pendleton Dist., SC
While reading old newspapers for mentions of the Reeses of Pendleton District, I ran across a few mentions of members of the Hardage family.As I posted earlier, the Hardages were apparently neighbors to my ancestors, and there is a very slight possibility that they were related.
Anyway, I hope these few notices are of some utility:
For Sale, a valuable tract of land in the Big bend of Estatoa, containing twelve hundred acres, on which is a good plantation; and will be sold at a reduced price for Cash, or Negroes.For further particulars enquire of Major Lewis, at Pendleton Court-house, or to the subscriber, on the premises.Wm. Notice.Will be sold, on Saturday the 16th day of October next, at Public Auction.A number of Farming and Planting utensils, among which are, some handsome Saws, from a cross-cut to a comb-saw:The condition will be made known on that day by me, John Hardage.
