Harder adoption

I was born on the 13th of May,1948 in Brooklyn, New York in the Methodist Hospital and placed for adoption. I had always assumed that my birth Mother was from the New York area, but recently found out (from non-identifying info that I got from the agency that handled my adoption)that she was from the Midwestern region of the U. S. All I have from the court papers that my Mom and Dad gave me is that my birth Mother named me Marcia Lee Harder. My birth Mother was born in 1914 and was of German descent and Lutheran. My maternal grandmother was born in Germany and was 54 years old (b 1893 or 1894?) and my maternal grandfather was 62 years old.(b 1886 or 1885?). My maternal grandfather owned a liquor store. My birth Mother had 8 siblings spread out between the Midwestern and Southeastern regions of the U. S. My birth Mother lived with 2 of her sisters when she was pregnant and the rest of the family didn't know about me. My birth Father was also born in 1914 and was of Greek decent. He was married and owned his own restaurant. Since the State of New York doesn't release any identifying info unless my birth Mother and birth Father register with them, this is the only info I have. If it sounds like my birth Mother could be part of your family, I would REALLY appreciate it if you would contact me.

Thank you,
Dorothy Conley
