Iíve found this Elizabeth Campbell in several messages. One mentions her as being named in John Nicholas Harderís will. Another thinks her to be the mother of Harder Campbell, who moved to Tennessee.
The problem is that the only Harder Campbell I can find in TN is in the 1850 census and he is 63 years old. That would place him as being born three years before Elizabeth Harder Campbell and the same age as his father George, who seem to be Campbells referred to as his parents. They live in Iredell County not Orange County as Iíve also seen. Another record Iíve seen gives Harderís birthplace as Ireland, not Germany as Iíve seen with the ancestors of his presumed mother Elizabeth Harder Campbell.
I could have the wrong George and Elizabeth, but I donít think so. Also, there was a joint sale of land of Georgeís land among his children (among whom is George Plott Campbell) to John F. Furr and there is no mention of Harder.
As much as I would like to believe that Elizabeth is John Nicholas Harderís daughter, I canít ignore these discrepancies. Any input would be more than appreciated. Thanks!
