I noticed that you mentioned a Gilbert Hargis.

I was hoping possibly he may be related to my grandmother, who had a brother Gilbert that I had heard may have been married or had children, but no on is left alive for me to ask family foresure.

my gr uncle Gilbert B. Hargis
b. July 09, 1876
d. May 03, 1903
buried in the Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, Colorado

He was the son of Zachariah John Beckham Hargis and Maryett Mackey.

My mother did not know him, but she thought she remembered Grandma saying he had contracted Pneumonia and that is what killed him, but she could not confirm it. However I think I remember that he had been working back east when he became ill?

Gilbert's siblings were:

Ida M. Hargis Hughes Teeters

Parris Hargis "Toad"

Fred Hargis "Shade"

Rosa Hargis Hargis "Rosie"

Mahala Ett Hargis

Zachariah Thomas Mackey Hargis "Zack"

John David Hargis

Hattie Hargis

Nancy Jane Hargis Haight "Nan"

George Winton Hargis
