Dear Bevard Thanks for the "heads" UP I have e mailed the DAR chapter and this could be the connection. There has to be a connection as they married in 1782 in Granville CO, NC Onr other one might be George Hargraves who was captured at the Seige of Charleston with Thomas Bradford in 1780. They both are listed on the prisoner lists and George turns up in Marengo Co, AL in the same time period as Thomas and Mary,1830. They die there atthe home of their son Brazil ransom Bradford. He was captured by the Spanish and imprisoned in Havana there is an extensive file on him in the Nat Archives. I also finsd some interesting info in the plantation records series about the hargraves/hargroves never have found a reference to Polly or Mary wth the right dates in any wills of potential fathers or any Mary Bradfords refered there also
Thanks
