My great-grandfather was named Josef Harlander, he lived in Bogen, Germany in the mid to late 1800's. His family came to the US around 1895. My grandfather was born in 1884. The Harlander name is very rare where I live in Central NY. I have 5 brothers, 10 nephews, 2 sons, and just 1 neice. We have done our best to continue the Harlander name. I would be interested in any further info you would have.

Cris Harlander,
Camden NY
