Joyce,

I saw your post today after a long absense from genforum. I tried to email you, but apparently your email address has changed. As I noted in my 1999 post, I am descended from Thomas Harley, 1801-83, who married 24 Nov 1830 in Fauquier Co. VA, Jane Kirkland ("his ward"). They had sons Albert, Elbridge, and Francis. In the 1850 census, Thomas (Harly) was a wheelwright in Ashby District, Fauquier County. The family later moved to Frederick County, MD, where Thomas and Jane are buried. What are the dates for your George Harley? Could he have been the brother, father, uncle, or cousin of my Thomas? I hope we can find a link.
