Hi,
I am looking for any information pertaining to the above mentioned couple; their ancestors and descendants.
They were married on the 17th of March, 1795 in Kensworth, Hertfordshire, England. I'm not sure if Thomas and/or Susannah were originally from there, but their children were born in Swineshead, Lincolnshire. The children were;
James, b. 18/11/1798
Susannah, ch. 26/1/1800 (My 3 gr grandmother)
John, ch. 24/2/1802
Elizabeth, ch. 25/5/1804
Mary, ch. December 1806
General opinion has Thomas christened on the 11th of April, 1777, Swineshead, Lincs; and if this is the case; he has at least 2 known siblings; a brother Robert, who was christened on the same date as Thomas and a sister Ann christened on the 17th of January, 1783, Swinesheasd, Lincs.
These children have Hugh Harley and Ann ? as parents, but I can't find anything on them.
Susannah Harley married John Boulton (who was originally from Pilton, Somersetshire) in 1829, London, England, and had numerous children, including my gr gr grandfather, Jacob Harley Boulton who was born at 10 Little Charles St, Regents Park, London, in 1837.
This couple are said to have worked in the Royal Household of William IV of Hanover and Queen Adelaide; John as a tailor to the King, and Susannah may have served Queen Adelaide in some way.
Susannah, her husband, and their family eventually emigrated to New South Wales, Australia, aboard the 'Scotia', in 1849.
Any help regarding this would be gratefully received.
