Robert, Apologies for my misspellings on my email yesterday. I was answering on my smart phone email and it mispells words. Again, my records show that Robert Harley who married Mary Cleland (Cleveland) in 1776, served in VA militia in 1777-1778, although records also state that he did not move to VA until 1798. He came from MY. Don't know if MY had militia, and it is near VA, so may have served in VA. Also states that they lived in Washington Co. VA. Trudi
