Tracing the Harriger family prior to 1932
I've been helping my son, Logan Harriger, trace his ancestry for a school project. Using the ancestry.com website, we were able to uncover up to 17 generations following his great grandpa Harriger's wife's line. However, we seem to be stuck on tracing the Harriger line from his great grandfather, Walter Carl Harriger.
Logan's grandfather (Lee Wayne Harriger) passed away two years ago, so we don't have contacts who can help find his Harriger roots. When I married my husband, his grandfather and Logan's great grandfather (Walter Carl) lived in Reynoldsville (Jefferson County, Pennsylvania) with his wife, Margie Sample. While I have been able to trace Margie's roots, there is nothing that even documents her marriage to Walter Carl Harriger, and thus no way to get past that point on Logan's lineage. Lee Harriger was born in 1932, and Margie Sample was born in 1903. We believe Walter Carl was born in 1900+/-10 years.
Any help you can give us is greatly appreciated!
