Ronald, I am afraid their is no connection with my family.
'Your' John Harriman was the son of Samuel Harriman and Ethel Strain, the birth registered in Pontefract, January 1918.
Samuel was born at Seaham Harbour Durham 1882, the son of John and Elizabeth Harriman. John a coal miner came from Mountsorrel in Leics, Elizabeth from Cambridge.
Samuel was also a coal miner which explains his move to Pontefract/Castleford.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Regards,
James Wm.Harriman (Leeds 1931)
