How many times do I have to tell you people to stop publishing William Anthony's crap. no one has done more harm to Harrod genealogy than this man whose work 60 years after being refuted is still believed as if it is the Bible. Please before posting anything on this forum read my old posts refting the connection of Thomas Harrod elder half-brother of rthe James who founded Harrodsburg, KY. One is on this site and another is on Christine Smith's site should anyone be able to get through to that. They touch upon over a half-dozen Harrod families and people would stop going after 60 year old worthless incorrect information and put their efforts into recording their particular Harrod line accurately.

If you are a descendant of Thomas Harrod and Catherine Downey you are connected to the Harrods who still live in Mercer County, KY, but are of NO KNOWN CONNECTION to the founder of Harrodsburg. His brother Thomas had one wife--Hannah and all twelve of her children were named in the lawsuit Harrod Heirs vs. Harrod heirs and NONE OF THEM went to Scott County, IN.

Thomas and the John who married Rachel Shepherd (my 6th great-grandparents)are full brothers, they are elder half-brothers to James who founded Harrodsburg, Samuel, Levi who eventually went to OH to live with his son William, William of Bracken Co. KY who co-founded the Fort at the present site of Louisville, KY.
