I am looking for the parents of Jacob Herrell who was born in 1765 in either VA or WV, married Mary Martha Jennings in 1783 in VA or WV, died in 1820 in Tuscaloosa County, AL.
His children were:
William (married Winnfred Jennings) b: 1784 d: 1812 Battle of New Orleans.
Elizabeth ( Thomas Franklin) 1789-1863 Tuscaloosa, AL
James (Jane Rush)
Martha Patsy
Rebecca (Thomas L. Ritch 1797-1850 Mecklenburg, VA
Rueben (Rachel Woolf) 1799-1848 Butler, Bates Co., MO.
Rueben and Rachel married in 1820 in Caldwell County, KY. So I assume that Rueben remarried to Phoebe Bredger and relocated to Missouri, after 1835, as that's where he died. I don't know where Phoebe died or when or where they were married.
What I am searching for are Jacob Herrell's parents and siblings if any, grand parents, and where they are from?
I've been told that they are from Ireland, but..........
Please help any information would be most appreciated.
