HelloI'm a Herzfeldtfrom Illinois
and have been researching this name for a while and i hope you can help fill in some of the blanks .first let me say this name has been spelled many waysHerzfeldt -Herzfeld-Hartfield - Hertzfeld -Hersfield -HeartField
that is why i have hit a brick wall.
my great grandfather Frederick or Fredrich
HerzfeldtMarried more than once and had children with all his wifes we think he was married 3 or 4 times once in Germany and 3 in America .i have no proof of any of this.
My grand father Herbert Ernest Herzfeldt b. 1899 his mother Bertha Landsberger was 48 when she gave birth to him.(Bertha was Frederick's 3 wife they had 3 sons.)
left home at 16 went to Aurora Il. for some
reason. my father said his parent never talked about there family's .Herbert and his wife Anna had 9 children
Meried. at 4 months

Herbert Jr.
Dolores
Frederick
Norrine
Marlene
also Herbert had a step brother Fred Herzfeldt on the Eastland ship, it capsized in the chicago river july 24,1915 he was killed and is buried forest home cemetery in Illinois
