using www.google.com "advanced search" , "exact phrase"
EARLE HARTRIDGE
EARLY MARRIAGES OF FT. BEND COUNTY, TX County Seat: Richmond
created 1837, organized 1838 from Austin County, TX
E.Earle Hartridge
married Sarah J. Dunlavy10 Nov 1842
other:
using also www.google.com:
Joseph Daniel Davis, I b. Savannah, Chatham Co, GA.
Son of HENRY HARTRIDGE DAVIS, SR.
HENRY HARTRIDGE DAVIS, SR.
B. 23 APR 1884 CLYDE, BRYAN CO, GA
D. 3 DEC 1961 SAVANNAH, CHATHAM CO, GA
Since the son and the father have the name HENRY HARTRIDGE
perhaps they were named for your Henry E. Hatridge.
Also:
www.google.com
Henry Hartridge Durrence was a State Employee
in Claxton, GA from 1939 - 1943
so that combination of name was popular.
another:
using the 1880 US Census (LDS/FAMILY SEARCH - FREE SITE)
THEODORE HARTRIDGE
B. 1817 GA, AGE 63, MERCHANT, PARENTS BORN ENGLAND,
lOCATION: JACKSONVILLE, DUVAL CO, FL
Theodore is about the earliest I saw listed in the
US 1880 census.
The road from Savannah to Jacksonville is not very
much distance - and both are on the coast.
in my 1820 CD of the US Census (Ancestry.com)
CAPT. RIDGE Chatham Co, Savannah City, GA
in the 1820 and 1824 census. This could be a Hatridge.
There were no HATRIDGE or HARTRIDGE in the 1820 census
IN ANY STATE - or anything that looked like it.
Another piece of info:
using www.google.com:
There was/is a place in ENGLAND
called: "HUNDREDS OF HATRIDGE in 1641 - in N. Devon, ENG
(Devon is to the west of England - and many came to America from Devon and west part of England - that is where
Plymouth is located)
The name is also seen as Hardwick - Hardwitch as well as Hardage and Hatridge and Hartridge.
This is not my family, but trying to locate them in Wilmington area of NC about 1808 .
