I descend from Josiah Hartzog who was b. 1823
Hickman Co, TN. He was the son of George Hartzog. This family moved to Van Buren Co, Ark c 1836 then to Grayson Co, TX where two sons of George are listed on the 1850 Grayson Co, TX Census. Those sons were Elijah and Josiah. Family tradition is that George died in Van Buren Co, Ark c1845. I recently found
him listed on the 1850 Census for Carroll Co, TN with a married daughter Lavinia Hartzog McAdoo. Listed under George is Catherine Hartzog 8 b. Ark. Do you have any records of
this family?
