Philip Hertzog/Hartzog Sr.

There are several stories on Philip, born 1720. Evidently there are two Philips, one came to America in 1738 on the Robert and Oliver and the other came in 1741. Both settled in Pa. One died prior to 1784, the other 1805. The records have become intermingled and I am trying to sort them out. The one I am interested in getting the facts on was born in 1720 in Noerdlingen, Bavaria, Germany. He married Julia Winston, his 2nd wife and died in 1805 while crossing the Catawba River in NC with a heavily loaded wagon while on his way to Ashe County, NC. I would be happy to share any info. I have received 8 different variations. What I need is actual records and locations of records that can be documented. Help me solve the mystery, Sherlock.
thanks, Robert Hartsoe
