Catherine Snell m. George Hartzog, Orangeburg, SC

I am researching the Hartzog family that connects to the Snells through Catherine Magdalena Snell who married George Hartzog c. 1765 in Orangeburg, SC.

At this same time in Orangeburg, SC, there is a Catherine Snell (possibly Anna Catherine) who marries John H. Felder in 1763.

Two sons of George and Catherine Hartzog later marry two daughters of John and Catherine Felder.

Are there really two Catherines? Sisters? Close cousins? Or has someone been to eager to make a connection and made mother-in-law mother to all????

I'm very confused, please help if you have any information.
