Catherine Snell, who married George Hartzog was the daughter of Adam Snell who was very prosperous and influential in the colony and served as a member of a special Congress in 1775.

There were three Catharinas/Catherinas:
1. Catharina Snell b. 1757, the daughter of Henry Jr. and Julianna Snell

2. Catharina Magdalene Snell b. 1747, the daughter of Hans Adam and Margaretta UTSEY Snell

3. Anna Catharina Snell b. 1758, the daughter of Hans Adam and his second wife, Anna Catharina BARRIN Snell.
