Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Hi Margie
Have you tried Rootsweb.com? There's a lot of Hartzog info there under "family trees". Put in George Henry Hartzog. There are nine responses. The last one is in the database of 'allison1.' She has ancestors and descendants. There's at least one other database that lists the GH that you want.-
GHH was also one of my direct ancestors, thru his 2nd wife Celia (married abt 1831). Their oldest was James Washington Hartzog my gggrandfather.
I have copies of the German birth and marriage certificates of Bernard Herzog, who we believe was the ancestor of the line. They are not very clear but I have worked out a translation. Bernard would have been GH's great grandfather I believe.
I have actually lost my own Hartzog records when my old computer died several months ago, but nearly everything I had is on Rootsweb. The rest I have on paper.
I'll be glad to share whatever I have. Let me know.
Genie
